ZAPATA is a full service environmental, facilities, infrastructure, and military munitions response firm. We provide comprehensive engineering services and field services to both public and private sector clients. The firm is certified by the US Small Business Administration as a Small Business and holds professional licenses in 16 states as well as a General Contractor license. The firm was founded in 1991, and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina with offices in Colorado, Hawaii, and Chile. Our in-house technical resources include professional engineers (civil, structural, environmental, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical), registered architects, professional geologists and geophysicists, physical scientists, industrial hygienists, Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) technicians, geographers, planners, and community relation specialists. Our capabilities include facilities, infrastructure, environmental services, munitions and explosives, architecture/engineering, forensic engineering, geographic information systems (GIS), geophysics, radio frequency identification (RFID), non-destructive testing, anti terrorism-force protection, and arc flash.
