Charrettes
|
ZAPATA uses charrettes to
kick off the design process. The charrette begins with the design team conducting
a site investigation and gathering project data. Using the data collected, the design
team meets with key decision makers, stakeholders, and users to work out program
and facility relationships and issues. Once the issues are clarified, ZAPATA develops
designs, schematics and floor plans through an interactive design process that depicts those
relationships. Using the charts, sketches, and CADD drawings, the design team facilitates
a consensus among the stakeholders on layout and alternative conceptual floor plans. The end result of a charrette is a project that fulfills
the needs and expectations of all the stakeholders.
